BUT IT HAS BECOME A GOOD SOURCE OF INCOME AND BUSINEES DUE TO THE INFLUENCE OF POLITICS IN THIS SPORTS

From 1900-1910: Cricket was only a sport.
From 1910-1920: Cricket was a sports plus spreading rumor. in this period cricket was starting to spread, mostly by rumors.
From 1920-1930: Cricket started to get commercial and it ran towards a "Bit of Bussiness".
From 1930-1940: Cricket was badly damaged by the disturbance due to the wars arround the world, in south asia and africa people stopped playing cricket as they started to develop a hatred for the english (as cricket is an invention of the british). so the cric. business was destroyed.
From 1940-1950: Cricket started to finish from asia and africa but its popularity in England and australia increased.
From 1950-1960: As the south asian and african nations got relief from the british, cricket gained its strenght and asian n african nations made their national teams and started international cricket. THIS was the time when cricket STARTED TO BECOME A BUSINESS.
From 1960-1970: Cricket expanded arround the world and gained a heavy popularity! people started to watch, play and enjoy cricket, and it became a star game of the world, cricket was a business as well as a sports but still people took it more like sports.
From 1970-1980: The world began to play the worldcup and the cricket players became sponsor banners and bussiness men more than sportsmen and the crickrters.
From 1980-1990: News rules and regulations were made and more and sponsors were taken by ICC to promote the game and help the players financially BUT is was the reason to turn the cricket into BUSSINESS.
From 1990-2000: This decade is call the " REVELUTION OF CRICKET" because three worldcups were played in this decade i.e. in 1992, 1996 and 1999. Cricket made a lot of bussiness and everyone could see more ads, banners, sponsors, bets and other trade more than real SPORTSMANSHIP.
Current 2000-2005: THIS TIME CAN BE CALLED THE "BUSSINESS SPORTS TIME" CRICKET IS NO MORE A GAME BUT WE SHALL WAIT FOR SOME MEASURES BY ICC TO MAKE CRICKET A GAME AGAIN.

Cricket is a sport for the cricket lovers.
It is a business for the mediators.
So it has 50% of sport and 50% of business. Hope you understood this.
