I live in Temecula, CA (by San Diego) in a $450,000 3 bedroom shack... I was just wondering what everyone else in the world gets for this type of payment.

previous to payoff (27 years early)-- $680 month--2400 sq. ft. 3 bedrooms, 1 and 3/4 bath all tile, unused formal living or dining (use it as a cat gym), living room with fireplace with built in bookcases and cabinets each side of fireplace to the corners-- wood floors except foyer- terrazo tile and "girls" room- wall to wall carpet , large kitchen with room for a large table and chairs for 6 plus built in china cabinet and desk, huge closets throughout-- laundry seperate but beside the kitchen with room for folding table, pantry, cleaning tools closet, cupboards for storage built in-- 2 car garage ( large cars), central AC and heat, covered patio. Paid $93K did some upgrades I'm happy--.

$ 480.00 , including Taxes ... 5 bedroom , enclosed front porch ..
living room , den , kitchen ... only one bath though .. one acre of land ... It is an old house though , built 1920 .... but the wiring is all modernized, as is the bath , and the new laundry room ...
I just put in a new furnace in October ... It was a steal at $53,000

For 2700.00 Canadian per month I can pay my mortgage (1000.00) plus mortgage insurance, house insurance, taxes, heat, utilities, gas, phone, Internet, cell, life insurance, truck lease, truck insurance, and gas for the month. The only thing not included in my 2700.00/month is food and misc. expenses. My house is worth about 190,000. I live in southern Ontario, Canada.
