Too short or too long for what?

2006-07-25 04:43:13 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

My opinion is that the average life span is far too short. One has learned 20 years in school & university and has just begun to get a bit experience and starts to have a bit of an idea how the world works and ... then a look into the mirror reveals that one has already crossed the zenith of lifetime and that from now on its only going down.

Modern science has shown that humans could live far longer if they would stop a mechanism in the cells which seemed in the past to be necessary to ensure a rapid enough development of the human race by reducing the human lifetime "artifically". I say that the human race is now grown up enough to take its entire fate in its hands and thus should consistently take more and more influence on the aging process, until it can be stopped completly.

I personally am really very curious to see how the world will develope in the next 500 years. Lets hope this dream will come true.

At this point in the development of geriatric medicine, our life spans are too long. The aged are not in good health and have very few means they can use to keep the quality of life at a level that makes rising each morning a joy instead of another day of aches and pains.

Our society as a whole is geared to the young. Older folks are stored as so much useless lumber and forgotten as quickly as possible... even by their own families. Very sad. If you know an older person, it would be great if you make some time to talk and LISTEN to them. It would make their day a lot brighter.

i think it's pretty good, although i would still like it to be 10-20 healthy years longer so that you can enjoy more of your younger years. so basically, your 20s would be spent more enjoying life than graduating/working, your early/mid 30s would be when you get into work life, mid 70s would be when you retire and 90s would be when your die.

let me clear up though: i would not just want more life as in "here you go- 10 more years". i would like to "stretch" the current regular life span over a longer time period (kind of like the way you would grab the placeholder of an image in photoshop and drag it out to stretch the image), so that life stages would be respectively distributed to their new places.

I think it's way too short. I personally can cram a lot of living in say, 100 years. Hopefully, with new advances in our bodies, health, and aging, we can live fairly long lives.

Ultimately, however, it's only under so much control by us.
We can exercise, eat right, wear seat belts, etc., but it's totally up to GOD when our time is up.

Well, considering that the quality of life isn't too great as you start to get really old, I think it's about right. When the cures are found for things like arthritis, and alzheimers etc. not only will our quality of life improve but probably also our life expectancies...so yeah, I guess it'll always be "just right" :)

I feel that it is too short, but you know that one day you will come to the end, so you had better live your life the right way.

I think that when a child is taken people mourn and say it was too early...
I think when someone is in the prime of live as they call it they call it gods will...
I think when they are elderly and they are taken its accepted compleatly...

I think that it depends on our frame of mind....
I think I haven't lived long enough...but that doesn't mean anything or does it?

no genuine solutions the bible says your existence will be sturdy yet might want to be shortned by using your tongue or different moves so thats only an estimate yet human beings stay for one hundred years some cases and they have sturdy lifes yet sturdy human beings dye speedy because god has different plans and undesirable human beings very last for ever because the devil desires them round plenty longer
