Manslaughter, I am sure you know, is a generic term. You sound like another feminist in the making, it's a pity that they are going out of fashion. Stop trying to be provocative and do something more useful.

Because it would be a pointless complication of the terms.

Manslaughter refers to man as in human. Political correctness should not the place of efficiency.

The legal code is already hard enough to pin down without splitting an identical crime into two different names for no reason.

It is a law term not a sex term. It has nothing to do with the sex of the victim. It is simply a law term used to describe a murder in which there were circumstances that drop it in level below that of a real murder.

Dear lord, that's just dumb.

When a man's bail is forfeit and he is put in jail, he is held on remand. How come when a woman is put in jail, she isn't held on rewomand?

When my camera broke, I sent it back to the manufacturer. How come when my wife's camera broke. she didn't send it to the womanufacturer?

I drive a car with a manual transmission. How come my sister's car doesn't have a womanual transmission?

because that sounds silly.
Also, why have two words for the same thing? You are killing a person.

Also, think of man as a shortened wo-man

Man = Mankind

Not female (feminine) or male (masculine)
