Congratulations (I too am engaged and it's exciting!)
He may hate that style of dress, but has he ever seen it on you, as HIS BRIDE, with a look a love in your eyes JUST FOR HIM, as you glide toward him on your wedding day, to vow to be with him forever come what may? ...HE WON'T THINK but one thing "YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL" and the dress style is not going cross his mind unless it's that he never knew it could look so good on a woman.
I say this because, my fiance hates long-sleeved wedding dresses and yet I've seen a rare few that are so gorgeous it made me think maybe I should forget what he thinks and do what I want. But first I have to try them on, and if I fall in love with a dress, long-sleeve or no, I am getting it! Because it's one day and if it flatters my figure, makes me happy and is what I love, then I will look beautiful in it and the whole idea is to look 100% your best right?

This is your day, so you should be able to wear whatever you want, but then again, this day will start your new life together, and you want both of you to be happy. So maybe look at other dreses (you have plenty of time). I am sure you will find a dress that is even prettier that you will both love.
here are some dresses that i have found that i like.

I love this one:

This one is even prettier, it has style and isn't puffy at all...LOL

It's your big day and you get one day to shine. Do what makes you happy and makes you feel beautiful, cause hopefully your wedding will only hapen once. Don't forget, it's YOUR wedding day. You don't want to regret it later on that you should have gotten a big puffy white dress.

okay, this is your day just as much as his. You (like most girls) have most likely been dreaming of this since you were 5. If you like a dress you should get it. You are wearing it not him and do you want to look back at your wedding photos and hate what you are wearing?

get whatever dress you want & will feel beautiful in. once he sees you walking down the aisle he won't notice the dress anyway, all he'll be thinking about is how beautiful his soon to be bride looks! trust me, that's what my husband told me when i asked what he thought of my dress (that was custom-made for me). turns out he liked it but he really couldn't care less about the dress, he just cared about the fact that we were getting married.

Personally, I would take the dress. It's your day and you should wear what you want.

Get whatever you want...Anything you put on will make you absolutely beautiful ! It's your day as much as his, most likely he really has no preference, besides the fact he wants what makes you happy!

If you don't get the dress you love, you will regret it.
Your fiancee might change his mind once he actually sees you in the dress. Either way, it's your choice, not his.
