well, i looked it up - the fastest connection i could find (Paris Gare de Nord to Vienna West - both are main stations, just weird names...) is 12:39 houts but you have to switch trains twice. Leaves at 7am and gets in at 7.30pm. The night train which is a direct train takes 15:15 hours, it leaves at 5.15pm and gets in at 8.30am next morning.
Source is the german rail website. you can get schedules for all train connections in europe though...
I would take the plane... ;-) Have a good trip

Hi there - this kind of depends on what time you want to depart and if you are going non stop or changing trains. This would take anywhere from 13 hours to 15 hours. If you change trains you would change in Munich. If you're not in a hurry and you are interested in seeing Munich, why not spend the night here? For schedules and information check out http://www.raileurope.com/us/index.htm
Happy Travels!
