I've tried to avoid doctors because I believe the body has to heal itself in the end, as well as regulate itself. And most doctors aren't going to tell you how to keep fit and eat well (and thus avoid trips to the docs office). Fortunately I haven't yet had any serious diseases or needed surgery, in which case I'd have to put myself in their hands. I have more of a distrust in most modern medicines - you hear of so many side effects, questionable trials and the politics behind drug approvals. But I also find a lot of "natural" cures flaky too. So what to do??

No. I am always asking questions, which is what everyone should do, especially women. If you have doubts about anything, tell them, even if it sounds trivial.

And I think the word you're looking for is "implicitly", in which would mean that you would have absolute faith in a doctor.

No! One was wrong in a diagnosis for me once and I actually could have died. Ended up in the emergency room, got it taken care of and believe you me I switched Doctors!

No, a lot of the time they are doing nothing more than guessing. And when they don't know, they still want to fill you full of drugs to try to fix it.

If I had, my son wouldn't have lived as long as he did. I check out every medication that I don't know about as well as every alternative.
