I am assuming that you are talking about when you take your DNA and run it through a gel to see if the size is correct. The DNA alone will not flouresce. There has to be Ethidium Bromide in the gel. The EtBr intercollates into the DNA (because EtBr is a planar molecule) and it glows under UV light.

Far as I know, all body fluids do. As to why, I do not know the exact Light Spectrum+UV Rads that emit that effect. But it has to be a common element in all Body Fluids cause it also effects salive,ejaculants,blood,sweat and tears.

DNA on its own doesn't.

You need to have ETHIDIUM bromide (not ethyl bromide Princess). Ethidium forms complexes with DNA (it is an intercalator) and these are fluorescent...
