Not even close. Conservatives decry the "tax and spend" liberals but they don't seem to have a problem with their "spend and spend and spend and spend" Republican leadership.

I'm no expert, but I'm gonna wager that ones a no. they must have a reason for calling it a deficit, if they could pay it back, why would it still be there.

No. Nor do most people have the $250k necessary to cover their mortgage. It's a loan.
