If you are saying that he used a ficticious or otherwise fraudulent name, the marriage license and, in fact, the entire marriage can be anulled under the "Fraud" clause. this is a universally recognized clause, with states having their own variances on it. Basically, what it says in a nutshell is that if either partner to a marriage gains that marriage through fraudulent means (i.e. using a ficticious name, marrying a person when either party is already married, telling someone you want kids to get them to marry you, then saying that you don't want kids, etc) than the marriage can be anulled, at the cost of the fraudulent party. The fraudulent party is typically not entitled to recover any costs pertaining to the marriage from the other party (meaning you can keep the ring and any other gifts he may have given to you :) )
And to the person who typed "go to the police" - what he did is not criminally wrong, it is civilly wrong. Going to the police will only get you the advice to contact a lawyer, as it is a civil matter, not a criminal matter. If he is married to someone else, however, than that is criminally wrong. Bigamy is not legal in the US.

If he did not use his real name then the marriage is not legal. He may also be married to someone else, If he didn't use his real name.
But think positive, why would he marry you for convince and use fake name. Not unless you have Lot's of money and the is trying to get your family money.
But be postive
