Hang in there! You are bound to get a job.Try asking yourself why?Is it beause of the way you dress ,talk in interviews.Or is it because the way you fill up the applications. If that doesn't work one surefire way is when they tell you 'we will call you back' just say politely 'I have heard that to many times.I had enough of dissapointments. So pls tell me your decision to my face,it's ok.Try this i guarantee it will work. And the working hours, pls apply for a weekend job then once the company is happy with you they will ask to come on weekdays after school. But most importantly study hard or else you will be working in those kind of menial jobs even when you are old!Good Luck

Welcome to the real world. It's not easy finding a job without being a high school graduate, is it? Well, summer is practically over... but putting in applications wasn't enough. You need to make contacts... you need to call these places, introduce yourself to the manager, and let them know that you would really like to work for them. Check back every couple weeks with those that seem the most promising. Also, be sure someone proof-reads your application and resume... perhaps you're making some spelling errors that are nearly unforgivable to a potential employer.

I am 42 and having troubles finging a job also. Have you tried Mcdonald's,Wendy's or any other resturants? I know you probably don't want to work there but at least you could get experience. Do you have a Job Corp in your state? if so call them.
Call 411 for information. They help teens find jobs. Also when you start school again maybe you could speak to your counslor. They might be able to help you also. Lastly ask your friends where they work, maybe since they know you they could ask their employer if there is in job openings.

You should check fast food also, Golf courses, You can even be a busser or a hostest at a nice resturant.
Best way to get a job is make a resume, and check to make sure it has proper spelling. When you go out to look dress nice, not like a slob "not that you would" but kakis will get you hired faster than Jeans. Believe that!
Lastly be confident in yourself. Employers know when someone is not confident and they normally dont like that!
best of luck

Apply at the library to shelve books. Speak with your local job center about jobs specifically geared toward students. As the summer is almost over, you may be out of luck there. Keep looking at your local job listings. Good luck.

Try local restaurants, gas stations, quick marts or grocery store. You can't limit yourself to the mall.
