chatrooms suck and people get kidnapped that way or raped different things

Many ppl blame the chat rooms, but it is actually the ppl using them. If every one was educated on the dangers of giving out personal information, even tiny amounts such as your school mascot, then chat rooms would not be a bad thing. After all, not every one using them are pedophiles looking for a child to abduct. Then, the ppl meet some where and that is how they get kidnapped; it is all bad judgment and they need to be educated on the subject.

don't believe that statistic for a minute. True there are people who groom kids on the net, but the numbers are small and declining.
If you really want to know the truth.
39 year-old, religious, teacher who is related to the child through marrage in some way and play the tuba.
Statistically, and I mean real research, this is the man who will abuse your child

yes chatrooms are bad.. probably 97% of the people in there aren't who they say they are

It depends on the people using them, they have to be used at your own risk. If you are sensible, if you teach the children to be sensible, then no they are not evil. The same could be said about many things.
