Hello Charles.
I'm also an Indian.
There are only two companies that use - CDMA moblie phones
i.e. Tata Indicom & Relaince India Mobile.
Tata Indicom phones mostly use Nokia Handsets. like Nokia 2110
Relaince mostly uses LG Handsets.

THE ANSWER IS NO .. THE CELL COMPONIES TIE UP WITH MANUFACTURING COMPS.. THAT'S Y THERE IS NO SIM IN THE CDMA PHONES..
BUILT-IN SIM IS THERE WHICH U AND ME CANNOT EXTRACT. OK
