well one I dislike fake nails(grow them out) I guess it would keep you health in away of not being someone your not. to wear makeup is fun...but it can make you break out.
fact if you didn't buy all this stuff to make you look like someone your not.....you would save a lot of money!!!! right?

I am sorry but must disagree with some of the respondents. How would wearing makeup, weaving your hair or other ornamental ways that women in society augment their appearance be harmful to the body as a whole?
Sure, there is an argument for contact lenses can cause eye infections if the WEARER does not follow directions, or rarely 'fake nails' can get a fungus under them.
But, I have still to hear of a woman's heart stopping because she was a makeup wearer. Or a woman being put on dialysis due to her nail polish. If the above aforementioned questioner's descriptives are accurate, I have personally never know anyone that has died as a direct cause of wearing fragrance, or using soap and water or 'augmenting her looks' with the artificial means listed above.
Knowing this venue, there will be someone that will disagree with me and point out some obscure case where a woman died due to wearing makeup...or faux nails, weaves, etc.

Those things you list won't hurt you. I think it's more about adopting an attitude of overall health, and keeping those things away is part of that attitude. The argument is that you can't be truly healthy unless you go whole-hog. However... there are people who shun everything man-made... not a good idea. You don't have to be a tree-huggin nutbag to be healthy... I lived in Boulder for years, and I saw plenty of people go overboard with this. Personally, I don't like the hemp-wearin, no-makeup, chapped lips and sunburned look... but I know some hippies out there who wouldn't have her any other way.
Most men don't particularly like a woman to be overly made-up, but it's important to strike a good balance. Too much and people will see you as an image-obsessed person, and too little and they see you as someone who doesn't care about your appearance...
BTW... if you are black, it's almost expected that you would have a hair weave or straightener, around here anyway. Personally, I like the afro... but that's me.

Because as you get older, you're going to have to keep up with all your artificial beauty. Wouldn't you like to age gracefully and naturally. If you do all these things now and then stop when you're old, you'll look even older than you really are because no one will be accustomed seeing you "natural" or in their words "plain".
Natural beauty is far more appealing I would say. It enhances your own beauty. When you use all the things listed in your question, the beauty is not yours; its artificial and unnatural.
Make-up...fine. But fake nails, coloured contacts, weaving, fake eyelashes...these are not really who you are. Its like wearing a mask pretending to be someone else....

Well, I don't like artificial nails. And as for make-up, I wear only the eyeliner, mascara and the lip color. I don't like too much make-up. As for my eyes, I have beautiful eyes and so I don't have to wear any contacts. As for my hair, I like to be natural with no hair colors though it's not too straight.
So, I would prefer neither wearing too much make-up nor without any make-up. It should be in between and attractive.

i agree. look at all the troubles make up, hair dye, nail products, etc have been causing. so many questions about so many troubles, and if we all went natural, the way we were supposed to be from the beginning, we wouldn't have these troubles. i think the world streeses to much on outward appearances and not inward. beauty is skin deep, and what's on the inside reflects our own natural beauty. i think using these products from the start and obsessing so much is the number one cause of premature ageing. so, just stay natural...:)

i do no longer understand any Black men, the couple i've got been around while my hair is organic all liked it, yet that may not many. different men like it although. My hair is exceptionally, i like it in many distinctive varieties, however the prettiest Black female i've got seen these days had dreads. She had an rather straightforward, yet captivating face - extreme high quality makeup, rings, her form became boho and he or she regarded very prepare and captivating, her dreads made her stand out and seem much greater unique. Its extraordinary although, because of fact my assumption became that she became the two dating one among those poetry loving, "earthy" Black men like hassle-loose - or a White guy. the prevalent Black guy does not look to decide for the captivating, organic women like her. Their loss.
