The guys who wrote the song said "wang chung" is the noise a guitar makes when you agressively strum it back & forth.

So "everybody wang-chung tonight" means to listen to music, play air guitar - maybe even see a band... whatever it takes to have fun while listening to music.

Wang chung is a type of 80s dance where you swing your arms and kick out a foot at a time.
