To me there are more important things going on right now. I don't see why we don't let them just fight it out and let the UN handle the rest. Your thoughts...

Yeah the media is always going to puff things up......they have ratings they have to keep up!
The media is one of the reason why things are getting worst. The media is telling to much... I understand the public has the right to know law, but the line has to be drawn.

I absolutely don't think the media is making a big deal of it. I think is fare enough to inform people of what is going on in those countries. Hello!!! it is a war, it may not be end of the world but is a war and we have to be informed about the issues they are fighting about. It is a very serious conflict and everybody should be aware of it. The fact that the US is not directly involved (well, up to this point) doesn't mean is not important. Just imagine how those innocent civilians might be feeling facing that conflict. Many people are leaving their country and leaving all their belongings because of this stupid war and you still think the media is making a big deal??? Open your eyes and your ears, be informed!!!

I think that letting the UN do ANYTHING is a waste of time...because they are useless. As far as the media making too big a deal out the Middle East conflict...I dont think so...After all it IS a war. I just think the media Needs to stop interjecting their own opinions into the news...and stop over exagerating the damages. They also need to stop criticizing the EVERYTHING the president does just because he isnt a democrat. If they would just report...JUST the facts....and ALL the facts and alllow us to make up our own minds then I think the media would be better institution.

no I think they are not making a big deal out of it because if this gets out of hand then all hell can break lose! do you really want Iran Syria in this war i would say no then it would be the start of a whole new thing. Iran is not afraid of nobody they got nuclear weapons that can reach up wards to new york city and don't think they won't fire them if they are provoked. so does Israel they are crazy also they almost 400 nuclear weapons they will fire them all if they have to. Syria on the other hand has also wmd's vx gas the deadliest man made gas to date it takes as little as 200 micrograms to kill an average person and they will use it to. So i don't think they are making a big deal out of it because like i said this could be the start of something astronomical!

The media only report things that will get us to watch their network

they may not lie about it but they will only report the things that are bad to get us to keep coming back

that is why we hear so much bad and then a little feel good story hear and there
best bet is to not watch the news or at least realize that it is not the whole

Hmm, would like to see the UN handle it, and yes I think the media seems to hype up the situation.

The shoes are symbollic of being grimy. Muslims take off their shoes whilst going interior a house. They try this whilst coming right into a mosque yet in addition they wash their ft. with the aid of throwing the shoes, it exhibits hatred to the guy and disgust. this is disrespecting that individual.

yes, the media are doing it for profit, of course. if you are wondering what the situation in ME really is, I suggest you search for ppl who live there. you know... some ppl from Israel and some ppl from Lebanon. that's what I did. and to be honest... until you feel the emotions and see the faces of the ppl getting hurt, you can be cold and distant. and we are all oh-so ignorant. the worst kind of ignorance is buying only what tv says. btw... it IS bad in Lebanon but we cannot imagine, can we? Imagine half of the capital leveled, ruined; the other half living normally. weird but somehow... logical.

really???
it seems to me that you didn't really understand what's going in the news.
TO YOu there are more important things now, just becuase you don't live there or nearby, nor your loved ones.
i wonder if that's what you had to say if you knew someone there.
and finally i don't understand how do you think that a WAR in the world is not important news, even if it doesn't concen you (what could be more important? the world largest pizza.!!!!

the media makes a bigger deal of EVERYTHING... when it snows 1 inch here, the weather people run around screaming "It's gonna be the worst inch of snow ever!"
this reporting technique is applied to everything they report
