I know what a bear GS400 is especially returning home to Alpharetta. Since I work near 285 & 400 hi-ways, was wondering if anyone knew of side routes especially coming home in the afternoon to my home in Alpharetta. Any input would be appreciated.

It seems like the locals always know ways to work around traffic. If I were in your situation, I would devote a week or so to exploring new ways to get from work to home. Try to take a slightly different route every day and you sill soon learn the area.

You might want to use Mapquest to print off routes to follow:

Good luck with your commute.

You can try Hwy 9 (Roswell Road) but it's almost never faster due to so many red lights..

I hate to say this but 400 is still the best route to/from Alpharetta, Even though it can take almost an hour some days, the back roads will take even longer.

Do yourself a favor, find a different job or another place to live! I lived and worked in that part of the world for 7 years. I left 2 two years ago. It has increased my quality of life TREMENDOUSLY!
I wouldn't move back there for anything in the world!
