The Motorola Star Tac is an older model cellular phone. Chances are that phone used the ANALOG method or CDMA for service. Neither of those technologies required or used SIM cards.

Fist of all it is a Motorola StarTac. Second, they dont have sim cards (no analog phones have sim cards). Any phone with a sim card has it held in place right under the battery, if you cant see it after just taking out the battery, it most likely doesnt have a sim card.
