What would you do if you had to work with a guy that has gas problems every day? I have told him several times that I am sick and tired of smelling his stankard a$$ but he keeps on doing it. The supervisor already confronted him about this problem once before.

He also laughs about it everytime he does it.

I think you're handling this all wrong Dan. It's mean making fun of persons with rump-related difficulties. This guy is obviously having problems controlling the air from his rectum. I think that as a co-worker the most decent thing to do is give him the emotional support necessary to deal with his difficulty. Perhaps rectuminal therapy or RAA (Rectuminal Air Anonymous) would give him the help he needs to start functioning as a normal human being. Telling him you're "sick and tired of smelling his stankard a$$" will only cause him further emotional pain. I'm sure right now he's feeling incredibly insecure about the issue. Pointing it out to him harshly will only make it worse.

Good luck.

Well I would tell your supervisor again, maybe something will happen this time. Or you can find out what smell he hates and spray that everytime he passes gas. Or get one of your freinds to complain to the supervisor that he smells and that your lossing business because of it, if it's not already happening.

How to Reduce Excess Gas
----------------------------------

Although it can be annoying and embarrassing, excess gas usually doesn't indicate a serious medical condition.

Steps:
1. Slow down when you eat. The more slowly you eat, the less air you will swallow along with your food.

2. Watch your intake of gas-producing foods such as beans, cabbage, onions, brussels sprouts, wheat and wheat bran.

3. Keep a list of your food intake and note when you have gas. If you notice that gas and certain foods seem to go together, cut down on or eliminate those foods from your diet.

4. Find out if you are lactose intolerant. If you are, milk and dairy products can cause gas as well as general stomach discomfort.

5. Take supplements to aid in lactose digestion if you are lactose intolerant but want to eat dairy products.

6. Introduce high-fiber foods into your diet gradually. A sudden change from a low-fiber diet to a high-fiber diet can cause excess gas.

7. Reduce your consumption of high-fat foods.

8. Avoid or cut down on the use of sugar substitutes. People can't absorb them, which can cause gas.

9. Talk to your pharmacist about using Beano food enzyme, an over-the-counter product that breaks down the sugars in beans that cause gas.

10. Add Japanese kombu, a sea vegetable, to the water when you cook beans to make them more digestible and neutralize their gas-producing effect. Some cooks also use the Mexican herb epazote for this purpose.

Tips:
If you are lactose intolerant, consider buying lactose-free milk.

All you can do is go to the supervisor and asked to be moved. That's all you can do or quit. Since he already knows about the problem maybe he will be more sympathetic with your plight. Good Luck

beano, and I'd put a little fan blowing in his direction to keep the stink from floating my way. I'd also put a stick or something behind me to help draw better smelling air by me to the fan. Keep that air circulating.

Move to a different area/station completely. Let enough other people complain and SOMETHING should eventually get done!
