If the temperature of the air in a certain region is increased by heating from the sun, does the air pressure at the ground increase or decrease?

A) Pressure increases due to decrease in the airs density.

B) Pressure increases due to decurease in the air's temperature

C) Pressure decreases due to decrease in air's density

D) Volume increases due to decrease in the air's density.

A and B just don't make sense. Increasing one, would be brought about by the increase of another. High Density = High Pressure. C and D could be true. D doesn't answer the question of ground air pressure. Choose C.

If I didn't know anything about geology (which I don't) I would say A because "Pressure increases..." and "due to decrease in air density" both appear in two of the possible answers.

The air pressure due to atmosphere changes with altitude and latitude alone and not on the conditions like density, temperature, volume.
