As someone with an extremely catholic music taste who owns 7 of the Mercury Music Prize nominated albums already, a regular contributor to music journals and a music lover for well over 30 years, I'm sorry, you're wrong, it is The Bends by Radiohead. If you bar people from nominating that then you are effectively asking 'What is the second best album ever?' If that is indeed your question then it is London Calling by The Clash.

You contradict yourself. First you say no kids, because of their crap tastes, but then you don't want anyone to vote Pink Floyd/ Beatles or Radiohead, when its clear the more mature people will probably vote for those, as they are normally voted best albums ever due to their musical endurance.

I personally would vote for "The Queen Is Dead" by The Smiths. The best album EVER !!! The Best Band EVER!!

By the way what is your best album ever?

My fav would have to be between Snoops Doggystyle, Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, A little Deeper by Ms Dynamite(total surprise this 1), and the Safe From Harm and Protection albums both by Massive Attack. I cant decide which but if you put a gun to my head id probably say Safe From Harm.
