My character keys are all messed up. Shift plus 2 will give me a 'colon', not an 'at' sign, etc, ALL THE CHARACTER KEYS. We have changed out keyboards, a new one, and it is still happening. The only way I can save/correct my work is to save it incorrectly, exit, reopen and then the character MIGHT work. HELP.

NOTE: I was just told that this is an OLD format of the keys -- used MANNNY years ago. Does this help?? I have checked all my language settings, all are OK. If this cannot be corrected soon, I will have to call in a Tech to check it out. Cannot work this way -- try typing an email -- 'joe'at'.....

It could well be that you somehow accidentally changed the language on your keyboard. This can change around the keys.

Good luck!

You can try to go to your community electronic store and see if they know what is going on or can fix it.
Or you can look on like HP.com and do a search on keyboards messing up.
