A small scratch, blemish, or just plain dirty disc is usually the cause in a single game error like this. Clean the CD according to proper cleaning guidlines, and if it doesn't work after that, look into getting it resurfaced, or just rebuy the game, since it dropped to $20 USD.

if you have not tried it on another ps2 i would suggest that to see if it is the disc it self, if it works in a different ps2 then your ps2 is the problem over time it may correct itself, i have a friend who practically had the same problem and the problem corrected it self over time

its scracted or was copied wrong just reture it to the store and say itw as'nt working
