ATT/SBC dsl with phone service is expensive and slow. I want to change to Optimum Voice and Optimum Online because it is faster and less expensive, but I want to keep my same e-mail address xxx.xxxx@snet.net. Is this possible?

No. Your email address xxx.xxxx@snet.net is also your username for your connection. It will remain active for around 3 months after disconnecting ATT/SBC dsl. It will be downgraded to a dial account. After 3 months, it will be completely deactivated. If you want to keep using it as an email address, you can downgrade your service to dial. You won't use the dial up connection but you pay for it to keep your email address active. You might want to contact tech support for more information.

of course, yahoo has nothing to do with your internet provider. Your internet provider would change an email if you were using one from a previous internet provider.
