No, I don't think so. There are too many different bathroom behaviors between the sexes. It amazes me how dirty the men's can get. In our office, there are just two bathrooms, one for men, and one for women. There are only two men in our office, so if the ladies is full, we go in the men's. It's always gross and there are at least 17 ladies here. One of those mysteries...

as childhood brother and sister, it's fine. among, say, classmates, i'd say it's "proper" until age 9 or so. well, it's better if the bathroom has a LOCK.

not in public places..the only way its right is if you live in a hostal and have shared facilities. or in shared accomodation (bedsits) where in both cases there is no choices..you have to share and share alike..
