How does the English Premier League work? I am from America so I am ignorant to the whole thing but I am really interested. How many Teams are there..I have heard of Aresenal and Manchester United...When does the season start? Can i see any of the games in America? What league is Real Madrid in? sorry im stupid

20 teams, they play each other twice, so each plays 38 games. Bottom 3 get relegated to a lower league at the end of the season. Top wins the league, top four play the Champions League (European Cup). 19th August the season starts. Real Madrid are in the Spanish equivalent of the Premiership but that league's current champions are FC Barcelona. You can see the game highlights in each clubs own website if you subscribe.

There are 20 teams, the top clubs are manchester united (my favourite), arsenal, chelsea and sadly liverpool. The way it is working at the moment, is a russian billionaire has come and bought chelsea, he's bought about 20 top players so therefore has TWO top quality teams to choose from. He has essentially BOUGHT the premiership, so now the other teams play for second place. The top 4 qualify for the european champions league, and the bottom 3 are relegated with the top 2 of the english championship (the lower division) being automatically promoted and the next 4 fighting it out for the third promotion. The season starts mid august and Real madrid are a spanish side that can be found in the top spanish division.

Well, eventhough I'm a girl, I'm still totally in to soccer.The English Premier League starts in, I guess August or September. The good teams are Manchester United, Chelsea, Aresenal, Liverpool and I think Newcastle isn't too bad. Real Madrid is in the Spanish League with Barcelona.I can't really remember the name though! The Premier League has 20 teams. Each club plays each other team twice during the season. One game at home and one game away.
The scoring system is 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 for a loss.
At the end of the season the team with the most accumulated points wins.
The season starts August 19th.
Fox Soccer Channel (available on cable in most areas) has fairly extensive EPL coverage. On average you can watch at least 5 or 6 games a week, some live and some recorded.
Oh... Real Madrid is a Spanish team and so not in the EPL. Who needs em!!

There are 20 teams in the league. Chelsea have won it the last 2 seasons. It runs from mid August to mid May. With each team playing each other twice.
Real Madrid are in La Liga. The Spanish league, which only has 18 teams in it.

the english premier is based on point scoring system in an all play all 3 points for a win and 1 for a drawn game.there r 20 clubs in the league with 3 clubs with the lowest point relegated at the end of season.i believe u can watch some of the games in america but i can on what channels season starts last week-end in aug./ real madrid ply in the spanish league(la liga)
