More and more I see a disconnect between the philosophies of the US Administration and Kofi-cup Annan and the UN. The UN loves to debate, and educate, and listen to concerns.

The US Administration for the most part seems to understand that there is no need to debate with evil people. Until evil people recognize the right of us all to live, they must be conquered not counseled.

New York is a good location for the UN. It should stay. NYC is a diverse city and the land has been used for years.

The UN is useful and the US needs to understand there are other countries in the world. Debate and open communication needs to constantly take place or caos will rule.

If the US thinks they're better off without the UN then they should pay their long overdue debt and quit. Perhaps they can make up the Confederated Nations together with West-Sahara & Cook Islands as these are also not in the UN.

If you want to conquer "evil people" on your own, go ahead, but don't come crying for help when you overstretch your forces again like in Afghanistan & Iraq.
I mean if the US thinks they know everything better than the rest of the world why did the found the UN in the first place.

The US is by far the strongest military force in the world and one of the major economic powers, but on its own even the US doesn't have the power to manage the world's conflicts, as it's just demonstrated in the Iraq. They need help of other countries with same interests in freedom and democracy (I assume that even after Abu Ghureib and Guantanamo the US is still interested in those values). That's why it is in the US and the rest of the worlds interest, that you stay in the UN and make it stronger instead of kicking the UN constantly in the balls.

The UN was put in operation to help keep peace in the world, guess what....THEY NEVER HAVE, in fact in many cases, they have helped to make it more war torn.....get rid of them, quit the UN, and let them move to france.....where they think the are the best....and they can pay the close to 5 billion dollars to keep everyone happy

Seeing as how there are U.N. officials raping children in Africa, and seeing the wonderful job they've done with their 'peace keeping' missions NOT!!!!.....and let's not forget that ever so wonderful Oil For Food scandal.....I think it's time we kick those arrogant bastards out and let them set up in France or Iran or maybe even North Korea. Their views are closer to those countries than they are to ours. Yes! Kick them out and see how far they get without the U.S. or our money. Who's teat they gonna suck on then---huh?!?!?!?!

Should the native Americans take back the land that the US is using?

Unfortunately the land that the U.N. stands upon was willed to the U.S.A. with the cavaet that it can only be used for a U.N. building for the World. Carnegie endowment.

I wish they would. Most of the countries represented simply want the US to just send them money instead of changing their policies to enable their own people to prosper like the US does.
