I'm a 27 year old man who's always had a lot of body hair. Don't get me wrong, I'm not sasquatch, but I do have a thick coat of chest and belly hair, a good amount of arm and leg hair and a little back hair. I also grow facial hair at an extremely fast rate so I have trouble keeping smooth shaven. Literally if I shave this morning I'll have a 5 o'clock shadow by lunch.
The question is, how many women out there like the "teddy bear" hair on guys? If the man is rather athletic (I jog and lift weights as well as do martial arts) is it still an issue or would it totally ruin any attraction?
Please be brutally honest. My wife says she likes the look but I don't think it can be attractive. I'm thinking of having it removed from my back and belly.

I've known women who really liked a lot of body hair on a guy...some who didn't want any (or at least no chest/back hair) and many who were somewhere in between...
Personally, a moderately hairy guy is fine with me...I like some chest hair to run my fingers through...back and shoulder hair don't appeal to me, but unless it was really excessive it wouldn't be something from preventing me from being intimate with someone I dug otherwise...
If your wife likes it, why care what other women think? YOU need to be comfortable with it, of course...but don't change anything based on what women in general prefer...we don't know you, we don't look at you daily...we don't get nakked with you (I assume none of us do...LOL!) so why assume your wife, the one who DOES those things, is lying to you? If she didn't like it, and knew you were open to removing it, trust me...she'd probably tell you!

i like hair on arms, chest, face and legs....i agree with u on the belly and back b/c I'm not attracted to that, but if u run, jog, and do martial arts u obviously must have a great body, why hide great abs behind hair and a toned strong back behind hair?

I used to hate body hair, and when i got with my husband we were teens so it wasnt an issue. Now as we are getting older he is getting hairier... and honestly it doesnt bother me. I think it is cute and makes him look mature. Other than that he still kind of looks like a 15 year old even though he's almost 30... lol
But i would like to add, stomach/ chest hair= cute back hair is gross, get rid of that.

some amount of hair on the chest looks fine
well it will be good if u get it removed
u will look attractive
see if u r athletic and in really good shape we dont mind the hair
but if ur fat and hairy and then asking do i look attractive then sorry

i say do what makes you happy, as you'll resent the ingrown hairs otherwise! :)
personally, i love it, so i can believe your wife does also - my boyfriend is very furry and
a) it's cute
b)it's warm
c) my grandma used to say "a man should only be marginally better looking than a monkey"
now i'm not saying you're not hot, I'm saying that if a man is better plucked and groomed than me - it's worrying.
more importantly, hair removal is not fun and in my opinion should be reserved for extreme cases of mono brow and upper arm hair:)

I think the back hair would put me off a little, but the rest of you sounds just fine.

Well back hair isn't my favorite but being hairy is manly and I do find it sexy. Really, as long as you cant braid it, your fine. If your wife likes it, what do you care?! Also, a little gruffy shadow is also sexy in my book!

I LOVE BODY AND FACIAL HAIR ON A MAN. IN THE DARK, A CLEAN-SHAVEN GUY FEELS LIKE A GIRL TO ME.( I CAN'T TAKE THAT BRISTLY FEELING EITHER.) JUST MAKE SURE YOUR HYGIENE IS EXCELLENT. YOUR WIFE'S A LUCKY WOMAN.

personally, chest/stomach hair and back hair freak me out. then again, so does armpit hair. but that's just me, i know lots of chicks who like the furry type.

on a sexy body, hair only adds to the look... on a nasty body it adds to the grossness! go along with your wife!! she knows what she likes!! my honey has your very same insecurites... and that is not attractive!
