Is the quota based on the amount of emails, or is it based on
storage space. Anyway, I need approximately how many it will

well I don't know the limit, but my Husband had 39,000 emails and it was only 15% of total allowed.

is based on storage space. For emails of 10 Mb you can save up to 100 emails for example.

not counting bulk i have something like 510 right now and not even close to full up according to that bar thing.. I should clean that crap out.

It's acording to the size. It's 1GB. And most E-mails are KB. So you can hold a lot.

i donno i know i have had up to 200 inbox mails bulk does not count to the sapce you have.
