he doesnt like terrorists - and the terrorists enemy is his friend.

Plus of course the Americans are and have always been strong supporters of the Israelis, and as Tone values the "special relationship" he's unlikely to go against Israel.

But it works both ways - socialists over here love the PLO and hate the Israelis - no real reason other than the Soviets knew it would cause more trouble forthe Americans so pushed hard for it.

I hadn't realised he had a love affair with Israel. Frankly he should pay more attention to his own country. We are going to hell in a handbag here and he is too busy poncing around after Bush.
