You can't keep it the same, and you can't switch in, "God Bless America" - that's too easy.

I don't even think about it.

Everyone should visit Ft. McHenry and learn the history. How and why Francis Scott Key wrote it, the morning after a bloody battle with Her Majesty's Navy.
Try to imagine the scene.
Damaged ships everywhere. The very ship on which he stood. damaged. The Sun rises. The US flag still standing at full mast. The Stars and Stripes glowing in the new day's Sun.
The new country had not fallen during the night. It still stood proud and erect, symbolized by Old Glory, shining and flapping in the wind. Maybe even smiling with the folds grinning in the breeze.

Are we losing all our history of USA? Do we want to re-write it?

Some patriotic song that doesn't glorify war, a song like "America the Beautiful" would be nice. If I could write a song I would, because there are so many great things in America to write a song about other than war.

None. I'd recommend a constitutional amendment that says, "the nation has no anthem; the nation needs no anthem".
