First, quit using Yahoo Answers
Second, pay attention to what you are doing
Third, ask questions if you are unsure of something.

This depends a lot on the type of job you have. If you are in an office, it's very different than working in a warehouse, or a retail store, etc.

However, one rule always applies: Stay Calm.

No matter what happens, keep your cool. Don't worry too much, don't stress too much. As soon as you start to let things overwhelm you, your brain will go into panic mode and you'll be unable to focus on things the way you need to.

Easier said than done, I know. But when things are starting to get overwhelming, take a step back, close your eyes and breathe slow for about fifteen seconds. It's better to lose those fifteen seconds calming yourself down than it is to force yourself to keep going and make a lot of mistakes.

I'm sure the people you work with understand if your job is difficult - certainly they've all been new as well. I'd be willing to bet that they'd be more impressed by you being able to keep your cool, even if you work a bit slower at first, than they would by you working fast and panicking.

Good luck!

The best thing to do with mistakes is to be humble and willing to learn from them. Admit your mistakes, don't try to excuse them. You're new there, remember. Present the attitude 'I want to learn, I want to do better" and follow-through. Bosses, unless they are crazy, want to teach you well. When you admit your mistakes or lack of understanding, you can be helped. If you try to cover up and get by, you cannot learn it properly AND people will mistrust you.

Some of the pressure you feel can help you learn, but too much will impede (hurt) learning. So be nice to yourself, relax, respect the new journey you're undertaking. Take deep breaths every once.

You're new, they will understand if you aren't as fast as someone who's been doing it a while...better to go a little slower and be accurate, than make mistakes by going too fast, and then having to go back and correct them (or someone else having to). If you have a question or are uncertain of what to do, ask someone...again, better to ask and get it right, than guess and get it wrong...

Take a deep breath...don't get frazzled...you'll get the hang of it soon and all will be well...remember, no one just woke up one morning and knew the tasks that you are doing...everyone that does them, had to learn them at some point...

well start off by taking a deep breath and do one thing at a time. ALways double check to before submitting it to make sure there are no mistakes and you got it right. Above all things dont rush. They will definately understand if you are new and learning it takes sometime to find your niche but if you just take it one project at a time you will do fine.

Firstly, concentrate on your work. Do not answer until your are 100% sure that the info you are passing over is correct. Look over your work when completed, take the extra 5 mins and read over your presentation. Go the extra mile!

Review your work twice before letting it leave you (thats "laboratory clean").

As a side note, if you are new, then everyone knows it.

To be frank, I stayed at work on my own time for a few weeks until I knew the job inside and out. If you are making good money then this sacrifice is not too much to do.

Time, money, quality - pick two.

practice more will make you less likely to make mistake. You cannot be 100% correct all the time.
