The age can vary a little, around 4-8 months. It depends on when the childs neck and stomach muscles are strong enough to support their weight and their balance developes enough to do it. Let your child spend a lot of time on the floor on their stomach (ONLY WHEN AWAKE) and they will learn to push up some and streangthen those muscles. We let my son play on the floor all the time because he didnt like to be held a lot, and he could walk by 8 months old!

8 to 9 month old can sit without support again it depends on the child. It can be a month or two earlier or later.
