Drink plenty of fluids- Your body's ability to sweat and cool down depends on rehydration. Drink plenty of water. Avoid drinks that contain caffeine or alcohol, which can actually promote fluid loss.

Dress appropriately- Lightweight, loose fitting clothing promotes sweat evaporation and cooling by letting more air pass over your body. Avoid dark colors, which can absorb the heat. A light-colored hat can limit your exposure to the sun.

Avoid midday sun- If your planning on spending time outside try and make it before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m. when its alot more likely to be alot cooler outside.

Wear sunscreen- Sunburn decreases your body's ability to cool down itself.

Keep shades and drapes closed in early morning to keep keep the cooler night air inside the house.

Take cool baths and showers- Cool water temperatures will cool your body 25 times faster than cool air.

Slow down- take it easy and avoid strenuous activities

Watch what you eat- By avoiding hot foods and heavy meals. They can add heat to your body. Avoid foods that are high in protein, which increase metabolic heat.

Well, last week my AC unit was stolen behind my office sooo

I suffered then I realized I have a frig here in my office and took sodas and water bottles out of the fridge. I put the cold beverages on either side of my legs and set one on my lap.

Also I tried cooling my office , which is 1600 sq. ft., by opening the frig. This did not work the frig simply got warm with the door open and did not cool the office. the next day I brought a spray bottle mister that really helps cool your skin. good luck.

Oakie Air Conditioning - I'm much too poor to afford the real thing so I soak myself with the hose and stand in front of a fan. Been doing this for years. Sure glad I could swing the price of that fan and the hose!

By keeping the spots where heat escapes cool.
This would be your neck, armpits, crotch area, etc...

When I used to do Band Camp, i'd always keep a wet cold rag tied around my neck. it did wonders for keeping my body cool or at least giving me the illusion of it, and I could always wipe my face with it which would make the water evaporate off the skin, further cooling you down.
