B&S stamped into the blower housing is:
(Model) six numbers
(Code) four numbers and a letter and a number
{0641-E1}
(Ser) six numbers. In this set of numbers as an example
923443 =year1992, 3rd month, fourth day

That is correct.... the first two numbers in the code say the year, next set of two the month, and the next set the day. last two are the plant it was made in.

there is usually three numbrers. model,type, code.the first two numbers of the code number should denote the year next two the month.
