After a lot of speculation, Andy Roddick finally announced that Jimmy Connors is his new coach. Connors has said that he is honored and never thought he would have the chance. Connors also said that he would like to teach Roddick about how he got to the top. Another thing he said was that Roddick was a quick and good learner and absorbed the stuff he was tought like a sponge.

I saw Roddick play Delgato recently. Delgato lobbed the ball over the net three times in a row before he figured it out. Fast learner, no. But he did figure it out. 2 sets.

Like Mauresmo, Roddick's problems is not technical, it is mental. Hopefully Connors will 'slap' him and show him that it takes to be a champion.
