We just had our Christmas in July at work today - love the Turkey etc. It is a nice change - even the big Christmas tree in lobby was sort of nice.

Funny you should ask that. Where I live all the retail stores are getting out their unsold Christmas stuff and make a sidewalk sale calling it"Christmas in July". I find that kind of silly because Christmas is really for the birth of Christ, even though people argue, that he really wasn't born on December 24, But to come back to the sidewalk sale, it amazes me that I can buy Christmas cards and other gift items up to 80% cheaper than in December. Call me cheap, but thats when I buy a lot of stuff and store it in my closet with the hope that I remember it. So yes there are a lot of people that think of Christmas in July. But celebrating and to top it of with Dolly Partons songs, no I think you must be the only one.
But whatever tickles your fancy, go right ahead and happy Christmas to you.

Scholars say that Jesus was born in the summer at an indefinite date, so July is a good time to celebrate Christmas. Read the Bible to check on this if you like. The Xmas commonly observed replaced Winter Soltice Festivals. Christians were good at putting their marks on existing temples, gods, festivals, etc. People who say Jesus was born 12/25 should read their Bibles more. Skeptics say he never existed. Whether he did or not, Xmas or Winter Soltice Festival is great for kids.

Well why not!
Personally I hate Christmas because 1. I worked in retail for years. 2. My birthday is too close to it and everyone forgets it or gets me a birthday/Christmas present.3. the crowds and traffic drive me nuts. 4. The blatant commercialism kills me. 5. My family lives states away and I never see them on the holidays.. so yeah, I think July is a great time to celebrate it. It's nice and warm and Jesus wasn't born in December, he was born in the Spring or early Summer. So go for it and have a blast!
LOL.

Seasonal does only recommend the 4 seasons, ie, spring, summer season, iciness and fall. Seasonal can be equated with particular cases, which incorporates vacation journeys. The celeb Spangled Banner for 4th of July, a love song it truly is particular to Valentine's Day, an Irish song for St. Patrick's Day, etc. Any song that options out a particular adventure, time of twelve months, etc. might want to be considered a seasonal song.

,I think the meaning of christmas has been lost or maybe it was just made up in the first place. Sure why not just celebrate for the hell of it.

No, but if it's hot I will start looking for movies with snow scenes in them just to get distracted from the heat.
