When I was younger my grandparents gave my parents an old player piano. We would pump our feet on the "pedals" and pretend we were playing.I still remember The Chocolate Soldier as being a favorite. It was always exciting to "play" the piano .Unfortunately none of us ever learned to play a tune even when we pumped the pedals slowly. It is a memory of the good old days that truly were the good old .I took my grandson to our local museum ( our town used to manufacture player pianos in the past) and showed him how grandma used to "play" the piano. The curator was kind enough to demonstrate.
