e minor would be a key.

There would be 1 sharp in the key, that sharp being an f sharp.

The easiest way to go about this would be to play a chord involving the notes e b and g. So I would play a G (3rd finger) on the D string, a B (1st finger) on the A string and an open E string. Since true triple stops are difficult, you'll probably have to turn this into a broken chord whereby you play the D and the A strings together, then swing down to catch the A and E strings.

You could turn it into a fuller chord by adding the open G string. In this case you might consider playing the notes on the G and D strings together followed by the notes on the A and E strings.

An alternative would be the open G string, an E (first finger) on the D string, a B (first finger) on the A string and an open E string but that is making my left hand cramp up just thinking about it.

Even more combinations exist, but if I were you I'd look at the three string suggestion I made first (G, B, open E) or the first 4-string suggestion (open G, G, B, open E) and leave the other possibilities to the contortionists.

EXACTLY the same way as you do on a guitar... but I can't remeber it right now (since I haven't played it for a long time)...
