I started out with both ink cartridges full and in trying to solve the problem, both cartridges are now at least half full. Does anyone else have any suggestions? We do not have a Staples where I live and a hammer will not work--lol!! Thanks.

The ink-box may have dried out, if you didn't use it in a while. Click on control panel, printers, and right click on your default printer. Click on preferences, and then general and then maintenance. In maintenance you may clean your ink cartridge.
I hope this will solve your problem, if not, let me know.

What type o printer is it? Did the test page fade? It could be that the cartridges are dirty or jammed - happens when they haven't been used. Try looking at the FAQ'a in the manual or try the following

Go to the START MENU
Control Panels
Printers
Right click on your printer and select Properties
Go to the service tab and select Clean my Cartridge

(your tabs may be slightly different, but look around until you get the clean my cartridfe option)

This should solve your problem.

try working a cleansing cycle in case you haven't any longer completed so already. The printhead could have a blockage in one or extra colorings so the colour mandatory to combine the pink is lacking and the colours pop out incorrect.
