Can I get better quality image if I use a high resolution (1.2 MP) webcam? Does yahoo restrict the pic quality?

If I have a high resolution webcam (1.2 MP) and broad band internet connection, Do I get better resolution on the yahoo webcam? Or should I use any other video conferencing software?

Image "quality" depends on the cam you use. 1.2 mp is fine . . . yahoo will only degrade your resolution very slightly, but so will other webcam software. Yahoo webcam implements a direct connect, your images are not stored on their server so image size is not an issue. However if you are using a dial up connection or if the person viewing you is using a dial up connection, the image transfer rate will be very slow. You will need a DSL/CABLE or higher connection to get a real video effect and not just 30/40 images per min.
