My mum has five book she bought when she was a lilttle girl. I just want to know if its worth something. ( we were cleaning our garage and found them)

It depends on the condition. Why not keep it and read it to the next generation of kids in your family. I grew up on these books and my son did too.
In the first book. George (Georgina) meets her cousins Julian, Dick and Anne for the first time and they have a "tophole" adventure on Kirrin Island with lashings of ginger beer.
My favourite is Five go to Smugglers Top

if they are in decent conditin and sold to the right collector then a university education for you i'd guess
