David Ferrer-he was suppose to be playing at the umag open but instead he didnt because he wanted a break after his breathtaking victory inthe stuggart open(which was last week) after in defeated jose acasuso of argentina 6-4,3-6,6-7(3),7-5,6-4 in the champpions(the champions match is the best of 5 sets in stuggart open).So the tournament advisors replace him with lucky loser stefano galvani of italy.Unfortunately he didnt do much with a free chance like this and lost to argentina carlos berloq 6-2,6-2 in the first round
Alexander Waske-Luckly he won his first round match againest poland lukasz kobot 6-3,3-6,7-6(6) and will next face fernando verdasco of spain
Michella Krajicek-she won her first round match againest stephanie foretz of france 6-1,5-7,6-1 and will face tsvetana pironkova of bulgaria
