My friend and i were having a conversation the last day and i said as long as your happy nothing else matters and he said he was having too much fun.i am a bit confused by it looking back.he doesnt drink or smoke or even take any drugs.i dont know what he could of meant by it.so is it possible to have too much fun

Having fun is a great thing. As long as you pay the bills, do your daily chores and don't break the law, then you can have as much fun as you'd like.

Sure, if some activity of a person is interfering with his job, family life etc. then he's having too much fun doing it...for example playing too much golf instead of going to work or playing too much golf instead of being with his family for important activities.
He's having too much fun at his hobby and neglecting other vital responsibilities.
Having too much fun with extramarital affairs or losing money gambling at his favorite game can be harmful to his marriage and wallet.

Yes! It is possible to have fun "without" drinking, smoking, taking drugs etc. I don't and I have "fun" every day. You have to live and have fun and smile. It makes the world a much sweeter place.

I would say that if you're having so much fun, that you are ignoring those closest to you, not taking care of your daily responsibilities, and/or being careless in what you're doing, than yes, you can have too much fun.
