All through my teens there was the cry, 'I wanna be free,' but without a definition of 'freedom from what.'

Does freedom from Control, for example, imply freedom from only a particular controlling aspect of ones life, or?

What is Freedom, to you?

I think freedom is a comparative thing and impossible to define, but I note you have covered that by asking "what is freedom to you?" (very clever)!
Freedom to me would be being free of all restrictions, and that can never happen can it?
This 'PC' (politically correct) thing came out not so very long ago, I can remember actually asking some 'Yupee' type what she was talking about, it was PC this and PC that in just about everything she said!
I know that it means I am no longer able to say out loud what I really feel, so I am not free! Which means freedom of speech has gone out of the window!
After all that 'blather' I cant answer your question, and I dont think anyone else can!

Freedom is abeing able to live. To not have other people's views pushed at you. To be able to decide what we want with our life and then be able to do it. These soldiers are dieing in another country for out right to freedom. I feel that when someone trys to take that freedom away we should stand up and say NO WAY I AM FREE TODAY BEACUSE OF THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE DIED. Relious people need to not push thier religion on others, everyone should have thier own opioion about a higher power who most people choose to call God. I don't thing there is a God for every religion out there . Freedom is being who you are and becoming who you want to be.

well i have already asked this question, but freedom in my eyes can only be offered in the mind. Freedom for some people is being able to do as they please; while crowding in on others and making freedom for some people impossible. but i guess in the teen years it usually mean freedom from parents or school because they dont know how to deal with life yet.

I think no one can tell u what freedom is,,,
but there is a say : " your freedom ends where the others freedom begins"
so being free doesn’t mean to do whatever u want,,, but being free means that no one passed his freedom line upon ur own.

hope we all enjoy freedom with no invaders.

I think freedom is being able to choose and make a choice to be free, for me it was deciding to leave work and set up my own party plan business, that has given me the freedom to meet new people, go down different avenues etc. Freedom is about choice and being able to make that for yourself.

usually freedom means that you can do everything you want...but people aren't the same.you can not find two persons with the same thoughts...for example: to me freedom is in my mind, i feel free when i have time to read a good book...or when I see a good film...I love to imagine things, so in my mind I am always free.what do I need more?(well maybe a boyfriend...but your question was not about what I need)

There are different levels of freedom. Total freedom for me would be no work, no housework and no time restrictions.

Realistic freedom would be what we have, we're not in jail so are therefore free.
