there is a saying that says...
When you keep doing what you've always done, You will keep getting what you've always got..
I think there is a lot of wisdom in that.

I think we have control over everything that happens in our lives to a certain extent. When things go wrong, it may be to prevent us from going through something worse. We may need to change the way we do things or perceive things. But tough times help us to learn and grow. There is an old story about a man who's son fell off his horse and broke an arm. The father loved his son and wondered why life would deal such bad luck to them. The next day all males under 25 were conscripted to go to war, but his son didnt have to go because his arm was broken. The father thought, oh what a blessing. A few weeks later the father and his son won the lottery. 'Thank you lord' cried the father. But the next week they were robbed and the son got badly assaulted by the robbers. 'Why such bad luck?' the father bellowed. And the story goes on and on. Anyway, the moral of the story is that we should not always feel down when times get tough, because it might just be a blessing in disguise. Nothing in life is permanent, so remember any bad times we go through will not last, so we should not attach our thoughts to negativity. And the same with good times, we should not be attached to good times because they do not last either. When you attach yourself to feeling good, lets say for winning the lottery, you are bound to feel bad when that money is all gone. Avoiding attachment to that which is without, brings happiness within.

I've asked myself this before.
I think that everything happens for a reason. And even the bad is all experience. So yes. For example by something bad happening to you years ago, means you can relate to someone else and advise on their experience. So good has come from it. By learning what doesn't work, you also find ways that do and what not to repeat.
You don't stay in ruts if you don't want to (they are just hard and frightening at times - I find that) it is overcoming fear to get where you want to be. If you do nothing, the universe is happy for you to stay where you are. If you want something and actively seek it then the universe helps you get there. So you can choose to be depressed and in a crap job or you can find a new path eventually by doing the grind. Life is about choice and in the process learning. I've been lucky in that my life has been easier than most and I'm on a gradual getting harder path.
I think Big Brother asked the Meaning of Life (as did Monty Python). I don't watch the Be Nasty Show - but my answer to that would be is about Love and Learning. A universal force understanding itself maybe.

I got run over 4 years ago and that was something that really went wrong at the time, but I then made a positive change by leaving that job where it happened, had another job and then decided to work for myself. If I did not have my accident then I still would have been in that job, so even when things go wrong you can really make something positive from it. I had to have a nanny to look after me and my kids {and Hubby!} and a few years later she felt suicidal {my crazy family I think} and I know that I helped her to come through that bad time, so my accident helped her too. A change is always good, just takes time to get used to.

Hard to say.
If things go wrong, take some time to re-examine what went wrong. Most times, you'll find SOMETHING that needs changing or could have been handled differently.
However, when pursuing a dream or new thing, when things go wrong, it's usually a sign for me to persevere, because it shows whether I really want that dream or not.
Point is people make mistakes all the time, people are scared of change in general, and if you keep interpreting your situation by circumstances alone, your circumstances will control you.
Use them as part of the puzzle, not the whole darn pieces collection because don't forget facts, knowledge and experience.

Well, there is an old saying: The sure sign of insanity is when we continue doing things the same way over and over and over, expecting different results.
I'm sure that's not the exact quote, but that's close.
If you are still trying to use the same decision-making skills that you used when you were 10 years old, then those will probably not work for you when you're 15, 16, 17, and up. Maybe it's a sign that you need to form more mature methods of making decisions.
The decisions in our lives, as we mature, not only affect ourselves, but others. That mere fact may lead us away from the more "self-centered" decisions we could make as a child.

Good question! I'll be thinking about this one today. I think every situation in life is for a reason. I agree that it is an opportunity to learn. You can allow your situations and experiences to change you as you see new perspectives, and always be looking to expand your mind and way of thinking - but I don't think it's always beneficial to look for what you're doing wrong each time something goes wrong. That can lead to self-doubt and self-blame which are only going to tear you down.

To me...yeah ..I think people are afraid of change and are afraid to change their perception of things...When things go wrong for me I change my perception of it,,which has changed me..I used to be worried about allot of things, but when I saw how things can just go wrong no matter what, I realized there is nothing I can do, except accept it, and that life is to short to be wasted worrying and in traffic.

Not necessarily as a hidden message for change, probably it is simply a message to remind you load on some necessary precautions, or request for division of labour for social development.

there ar no such thing as wrong or right.
all your choices made since you can think for yourself has brought you to wherever you are right now.
Good things will always be riddled with Bad. So we learn how to savor the good, and work towards making more good.
Bad things, they are just mini lessons in our journey of growing up. The more you know, the better equipped you are to overcome them. It is something you confront, not escape fropm.

Things just can't always be right. Some things must be wrong, so others could be better. It is the universe! It would not be good to change ourselves all the time. ( Enlightened?)
