because american idol needed a white guy to win..they had a white girl, black guy, black girl, what comes next...white guy. they just happened to pick the most annoying one.

I like him too, but he won because he had the votes. All of the people in the south were excited that there was a celebrity from around where they are from so he had the votes of pretty much the whole south. Katherine was from california, and they are used to having celebrities, so they voted for who ever they liked better.
Taylor also had something that people could remember. Alot of the fans of american idol cant remember their names. They would remember taylor because he was the gray guy.

I loved Rueben and Taylor replaced into my %. very last season. they're making a song some uninteresting songs this twelve months. Because there was something about McPhee that women hated and men loved and there was no way that she could win...she had a good voice, but it was like everyone else, if you know what I mean. Taylor was just original and his voice was amazing. Definately not like the others!

I think most people enjoyed his excitment love for music. He was entertaining and had a zest for life! I voted for hiM! =)
