Those who make rubbish in competition, will probably say, "Yes, natural fruits are not as good as my rubbish." But dried fruits are excellent (snack) foods.

However, like all foods, over consumption will kill you. It is not common though, for people to overdose on natural foods. If we eat natural foods, we have energy and our appetite is normal.

If we eat denatured foods they are addictive and we crave more and more of the same gunk that is killing us. Our cells are starving, so we crave more food, we are overfed and undernourished.

The sugars in natural fruits are balanced more so than manufactured sugars. Fruit sugar, Fructose, is essential to the liver being able to process and store Glucose. Consuming glucose without adequate supplies of Fructose will promote the storage of the Glucose as fat. Fat people are usually short on energy, owing to the liver's inability to function well (despite the fact their gas tank is full of fuel).

just the opposite... they are very useful and contain almost same benefits as fresh fruits, save only the water which evaporated and the fragile vitamins.... all the minerals and other vitamins are there....
people have the misconception that it has more sugar, i mean think about it, from the extra sugar is going to come if the fruits were only dehydrated.... the point is... take 100 gm of fresh fruits say apricots, they would count as maybe 5 pieces, which have about 60-80 calories....
now take 100 gms of dried apricots, they would be maybe 10 pieces because most of the mass gone with the water, so 10 pieces would have 120-160 calories....

sorry to trouble u with all the math.... the bottom line is one fresh apricot has the same calories as a dried one....

I would say the only downside to dried fruit is the high natural sugar content. Listen though....would you prefer eating dried apricots or several Three Musketeers bars?

It certainally won't kill you at all. Plus...keeps you "regular" and then some.

It's better for you then chowing down on snickers bars, but dried fruit often has added sugar, so just check the content. It's better to buy all natural with no sugar added.

Dried fruit is mostly sugar. Be wary of unwanted weight gain.

Except for the sugar, it's actually very healthy. Do you dry them yourself using a food dehydrator? This would be the way to go as the commercial stuff, in stores, is very very very sweet!

I'm almost sure that dried fruit is good for you. But fresh fruit is even better.

No. As long as they do not have too many additives they are good for you.

Probably. If they are sweet, then yes.

Read the label.
