My ebay was suspended due to someone hacking my account. To reinstate it I have to log into ebay and they send me an email to link to to get a new password. They say the firewall and spam filter is what's blocking me getting their emails. Have done the firewall and now the spam filter but I don't seem to be getting their emails still. Can anyone help. This is a legitimate email from them as I have gone through the help centre to get someone to help. Please help. I have a shop on ebay and this is sooooooooo frustrating. Thanks.

Its bullshit ignore it. Delete it, and check your Paypal account. Don't send any information.

Check if your ISP provides webmail as an alternative means of access to your e-mail.
That way you can bypass your personal firewall and spam filter and see exactly what is on the mail server.
Also, you may find that its your ISP's spam filter, not your own, that is the problem, and be able to rectify it.

Usually, they will tell you to add an e-mail address to your address book to prevent blockage of the emails. Depending on your email program, you can probably temporarily change your security settings. (Usually in Tools, Options). Also, temporarily turn off your firewall. Just don't forget to change them back after you get the email. Good Luck!

talk to someone on the phone first and have them provide some sort of evidence that they are affiliated with ebay. get their email address and allow emails from that address through your spam blocker. but first go to ebay.com and a search engine of your choice and search on the email address. do not give out your password *ever* any real representative of ebay that wants it will already know it. *they* should confirm it to *you*.

Try adding them to your address book! it might help I don't know! Some spam filters kick out unknown addresses.

It could also be a dodgy email! send it to spoof@ebay.co.uk they will check it out and let you know if its authentic or not. Also if your account ID has not been used to address you then it could just be phishing email.

Sounds dodgy to me!!

Either way don't fill in details and email back till you are sure!!

Are you sure it's genuine? I had a similar email myself a while back and didn't trust it - when I forwarded it to eBay they confirmed it wasn't one of theirs. This is a pretty common scam, don't give away any information!!
