I've lived in three different US cities where I had to move for a job. By merely informing each of the landlords of the situation, they each accepted it without further issue and one of those was a huge NYC building management company. You shouldn't have any problem.
Best of luck with your move!!!

best bet is to offer to pay two or three months rent, while you are bound by the terms of the lease, their is a term in contract law called duty to mitigate damages: meaning each party even the non-breaching party has a duty to mitigate their damage when a contract is breached, so talk to your landlord tell them you are moving and that you would like for them to start and show the place to re-rent must judges will give a landlord two or three months rent best bet

read the terms of the lease, but generally if you find someone who is willing to take over the lease, then they will let you out of the lease. this is assuming they pass credit/back ground checks (if any).

all depends on your lease. read your lease. If you are too dumb to understand it get someone smart to read it. You can also talk nice to your landlord. He may let you out of the lease if you talk nice to him. Most of them are pretty reasonable if you talk to them nicely.
